Coronavirus: Why COVID-19 is NOT the end of the world - 'The Lord’s shown me through 2026'

CORONAVIRUS has sparked many bizarre claims the end of the world is at hand but not all Christian evangelists believe COVID-19 is a portent of doom.

The coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) has infected more than 246,000 people and killed at least 10,038 since November. The rapid spread and death toll of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) has led many to claim biblical pestilence has arrived.

Conspiracy theorists have flooded social media in recent weeks to cite passages from the Bible's Book of Revelation.

One Twitter user said: "If you have not already read the Book of Revelation in the Bible, I would encourage you to do so.

"It will prepare you of what is to come. #Coronavirus"

Another person said: "Literally just read about all that's happening in the Bible. The pandemic, the locusts and the lack of rain.

"The Bible states that this will continue until man humbles himself, prays, seeks God's face and stops his wicked ways.

"Then God will heal the land. #coronavirus"

A third person said: "For those of you who know about God and have an understanding of the Bible and all there is to come... y'all we need to step up and share the word because this coronavirus is nothing compared to wants coming.. we're living in the last days Wake up!!"
